Let’s face it summer sucks!
Well, no not really but at this time of year it seems a way off. And there’s SO much to be said for the spring. The wild flowers are sticking their heads above ground, whilst the braver garden flowers are thriving, it being too soon to suffer neglect from me. The dawn chorus is ramping up to full throttle and many birds are returning; hoo poos now with their funny little crests and swallows in a week or so.
And talking of swallows at this time of year they keep the biting things completely under control, unlike in mid summer when we need to slather on the lotion to sit outside and that DOES suck, or at least the mossies do!
Dandelions and daisies everywhere, leaves returning to the trees, blossom and baby animals, new born bees. No wasps, no 40 degree temperatures to dry out the grass: green, green, green everywhere and there’s still an excuse for a log fire in the evenings!
Perfect cycling if you like it beautiful!
